Wah gwaan

For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by stories and how we tell them. It started with my mom reading me bedtime stories and progressed to me jumping over the back wall of my primary school so I could visit the nearby parish library. When I got to high school I realised I didn't just love the written word, but I also loved the stories being told in music, video games, and television shows. So I began to write my own and for a time I enjoyed it, but then I began to feel uninspired. Eventually, I grew up, grew older and gave up on writing. But then I got to university and I met some people who loved stories just as much as I did, they made me realise what I'd given up. I got back into writing but I didn't really tell anyone. I still didn't feel very confident about my writing, regardless of how I bragged to the few people I showed. Now though, I think I'm ready to put myself out there. I'm ready, for whatever may come. I'm ready.
